The rules of Sudoku

The rules of the game are simple : you must fill the missing boxes with a number from 1-9, but each number can't appear more than once per row, column or square (the main square contains 9 squares which contain 9 boxes themselves).

There are 81 boxes in total in the Sudoku grids (classic format) and are generated randomly according to the level of difficulty chosen :

• Easy: You have to find an average of 23 numbers
• Medium: an average of 36 numbers to find
• Hard: at least 50 levels to find; reserved for the experts!

Each game is timed and the number of times asked for help is recorded.

Help is indicated by a colour code correctly placed numbers (in green), mistakes (in red) and the number in the box still blank.

When you have finished filling in your Sudoku grid, click on the button "I've finished" under the grid to stop the timer and to go through to the final check: you will then know if you have won or lost, without being able to return to the grid !
